  As most of our products are made of cellulose fibre from trees, we are constantly working to maintain a balance between a high and sustainable level of wood production and preservation of biological diversity. All forest operations are certified in accordance with the ISO14001 environmental management system and are independently certified within the international environmental certification system FSC, Forest Stewardship Council.

SCA has over the years presented a number of firsts. SCA was, for example, the first company to develop string panty liners, which have been launched in a number of European countries. SCA presently has some 4,000 patents in some 40 countries.
