The 1940s
Women start to work and make their own money (isn’t it insane that it took as long as until the 40s!) and can afford to buy sanitary towels. Here in Sweden the first crepe paper towel, Mimosept, is released (we've got better at naming our products!) by Bodyform. A net surrounds the core of the towel and the ends you tie yourself. The actual towel is fastened to a girdle around the hips.

The 1950s
In Falkenberg we arranged an automatic tying machine. It revolutionises towel manufacturing. While others sit around tying knots by hand or selling their towels without any knots at all, awesome towels with ready-tied knots are positively spurting out of our factory in Falkenberg.

The 1960s
The towel can now be attached directly to the panty. The SCA invention of an adhesive strip of foam rubber holds the towel in place, doing away with the need for a special girdle. The towel itself had also been improved considerably with a super-dry surface.

The 1970s
Bodyform Anatomic is released! It's the first towel ever to be shaped to fit your body, with extra padding in the middle. The towel made it comfortable to wear your bell-bottom jeans (that's what they called them back then), even though you had your period.

The 1980s
Women’s lifestyles have always been the guiding light for Bodyform innovations and we reckoned that girls probably don’t wanna carry around a giant pack of towels when they're out roller skating on four wheels - so we released the single wrap! It makes it easier to always have a product on hand when you need it. In the 80s we also make the first towel with wings!

The 1990s
New absorption technology, Efficapt, makes the 3 mm thick towel a reality. The same security protection with incredible absorption, only thinner and more comfortable. Bodyform Ultra is born!

The 2000s
We start using the internet and ipods and come up with a number of unique breakthroughs including the world's first string towel and Ultra Goodnight. Ultra Goodnight's awesome design makes the towel fit perfectly and not leak when you're sleeping.
