How do you know if you’ve contracted a sexually transmitted disease?

Some sexually transmitted diseases give no symptoms. Itching, stinging, pain and unpleasant odours or blood-coloured discharges are also common. If you think that you may have contracted an illness or have any of the symptoms above, you should always contact a gynaecologist, GP or a youth clinic. These diseases are spread through sexual contact. Always use a condom for casual sexual contacts. When you meet a new partner, it can be smart and a sign of respect for both of you to get tested.
