The Eve Appeal and Bodyform - 5 types of gynaelogical cancer: womb, ovarian, cervical, vulval and vaginal

As part of Bodyform's Project V initiative, we are proud to be teaming up with The Eve Appeal to spread awareness of the five types of gynaecological cancers, and their symptoms. You can access this information through the QR code featured on all 37 million Bodyform packs sold every year!

Do you know there are five gynaecological cancers?

Those are the cancers of your reproductive system, inside your hips and between your legs: womb, ovarian, cervical, vulval and vaginal.

The first step to being able to spot any cancer symptoms is to know your body and what is normal for you. You may or may not have been taught about the gynaecological organs and cancers at home or at school, but it is never too late to learn about our bodies, and how we can look after our health.

Take a look at our diagram of the five gynae cancers and their signs and symptoms and take The Eve Appeal gynae quiz to test your knowledge:

If you have any of these symptoms, it is important that you see your GP. It is more likely to be caused by something less serious than cancer, but it is always worth getting them checked, just in case.

If you have any questions or concerns about any symptoms you are having, any investigations or a gynae cancer diagnosis, The Eve Appeal gynae specialist nurses are here to help with free and confidential information and advice. You can get in touch and Ask Eve by emailing nurse@eveappeal.org.uk or 0808 802 0019.

The Eve Appeal are the UK’s leading gynaecological cancer charity, funding research and raising awareness into the prevention and earlier diagnosis of all five gynaecological cancers. If you would like to help make gynae cancers diseases of the past, check out the ways you can get involved:
